Back Again

I have just finished reading all of my previous postings.  I am ready to begin again.

I have 209 Find-a-Grave memorials, no RootsWeb, and more information, both in my computer and printed, than I know what to do with.

My plan is to get busy and put as much as I can into this blog.  It will be mostly genealogy and very little about travelling, which I haven't done much of for some time.

Let's begin with changes:

1.  No RootsWeb WorldConnect.  I had become dissatisfied with the site about the time it was taken over by Ancestry.  I finally deleted my pages on World Connect, not long before Ancestry pulled the plug on all of RootsWeb.  It has been out of order for months now, and is of no use to anyone since the files are unavailable while they do whatever it is they are doing to them.  SO, while I make reference in previous posts to World Connect - you will be unable to find those records there.  I plan to make up for that by posting as many records as I can on this blog.

2.  These last few years I created memorials on Find a Grave.  I have over 200 now, and maintain them periodically.  Many of mine are sponsored, which means I paid money to have advertisements removed.  Guess what?  Ancestry has taken over Find a Grave and is changing the page (for the worse) and advertisements abound.  I will include links to Find a Grave pages, the old version, but do not know how long they will work.

3.  Some of the postings will be pretty dry -- unless I'm having a good brain day.  I enjoyed the writing the first four years, but my plan to get Everything I Know on this blog may call for speed rather than creativity.  Sorry about that.  Part of this sorry-ness is that it is April, once again, in Oklahoma and storms make me worry about my collection of family history.

Now to begin . . .
